The study of people, place and their interactions with one another is rich in complexity. Geographic artifacts provide a glimpse at our attempt to understand, formulate, and document such dynamics.
I’ve been collecting and creating pieces that demonstrate this vibrancy for years. From digitally enhanced panoramic map panels to ornate Art Nouveau relics and Mid-Century Space Age celestial representations, the pieces in my shop document over a century of societal exploration, technology, conflict, and change. Consistent in all of my pieces is the underlying theme of human development, each with a unique historical filter projecting the knowledge and ideals of its day.
Cartographics is based out of Boston, Massachusetts but my products reflect local, regional, and international sources. I accumulate items from a diverse range of locales including flea markets, antique shops and estate sales, and I'm always looking for pieces with unique and defining characteristics to add to my collection.
Since 2012 I've sold hundreds of geographic artifacts, and have shipped items to over a dozen countries on five different continents. My products have been featured on popular television shows such as Myth Busters and The Americans, iconic retail locations, boutique hotels, and numerous design firms.
Please let me know if you'd like help sourcing an item. I often have items in my inventory that are not yet posted, and I'm always keeping an eye out for pieces to enhance my collection.
