This set of twelve prints was created from of a beautiful sepia toned vintage map of Boston circa 1899.
The original map has been modified to remove folds, creases and other blemishes to ensure clarity and consistency while maintaining the character of the piece. The piece depicts a transforming New England metropolis. The Back Bay is a year from being fully filled in with landfill from neighboring suburbs, the shores of Cambridge are mostly barren or industrialized with MIT still located across the Charles River in Boston.
